CAZA's masterplan for Hamilo Village, located at the Hamilo Coast in Philippines, takes cues from the site’s varying topography and creates architectural responses for each variation.
The primary goals of the project are to create a village connected to the surrounding landscape; consider the needs of different living situations; draw inspiration from traditional materials and textures; and include varied residential units to accommodate a diverse population.
To arrive at the design of the villas, we looked at each lot having a specific depth and slope, which became key factors influencing the prototype. Ultimately, this led to three broad categories for the villas determined by where they are positioned; flat land, valley and peak.
