We chose wood and ceramic machuca tiles to create warmer interiors that contrast with the rough concrete finish of the walls and the exterior fins. These cement tiles date back to the early 1900s and their main features are that they are not baked and that they normally present intricate motifs and colors. We decided to simplify the design and keep the earthy color palette to distinguish the different areas inside the church: light orange for the Sacristy and green (the La Salle color) for the Congregation Hall.
