Montauk House Complete

We finished up our gut renovation and expansion of this house in Montauk, transforming what was a dated and cramped home into a spacious and contemporary one open to the surrounding dunescape. The renovation creates three double-height areas that organize the plan and offer sweeping interior spaces.

The south-facing back wall was punched out, extending the living area onto an outdoor terrace and pool area and opening the interiors to beach views, light, and natural ventilation. The exteriors are painted black to blend the home into the surrounding elm woods, while the all-white interiors make for bright and airy living environments that emphasize the colors of the surrounding landscape.
